Hi Mike Crossley,
I understand the confusion. Based on your description, it sounds like you may have two separate Microsoft accounts.
Before considering closing either account, could you confirm:
- When you sign in to https://account.microsoft.com, do both accounts show the same OneDrive storage and subscriptions, or do they appear to be different accounts?
- Are gmail.com and googlemail.com actually the same Gmail mailbox in your case, or are they different email addresses?
- When signing in to the new laptop, do you receive an error message? If so, what does it say?
If the account with @gmail.com is the one that contains your 1 TB storage and is the account you intend to keep, you can first verify this by:
- Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com using @gmail.com and confirm that your subscription and devices are associated with this account.
- On the new laptop, try signing in with the exact same Microsoft account email address shown on the account portal.
Important: Do not close the @googlemail.com account until you have confirmed it does not contain any purchased products, subscriptions, OneDrive files, or other data you still need.
Please let me know the answers to the questions above, especially whether the two addresses point to the same mailbox and what error message appears when signing in to the laptop. This will help me provide more specific guidance.
