A family of Microsoft products that enable users to capture, organize, and reuse notes electronically.
Hello, I am Mite, and I am here to help.
From your description, it sounds like you moved to or set up a new PC, but OneNote is only showing some of your notebooks or notes, not all of them.
The first thing to check is whether the missing notebooks are actually stored in the cloud.
Please try the following:
- Go to onenote.com or onedrive.com in a web browser.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account you used on the old PC.
- Check whether the missing notebooks appear there.
- If they appear online, open OneNote on the new PC and use File > Open to open the notebooks from OneDrive.
- If they do not appear online, check your old PC if you still have access to it. The missing notebooks may have been stored locally and may not have synced to the cloud.
- Also make sure you are not mixing accounts, such as a personal Microsoft account and a work or school account.
If the old PC still has the missing notes, do not delete OneNote, sign out, or clear any cache on that device until the notes are safely copied or synced. Otherwise, unsynced notes could be lost.
In short, if the notebooks are visible on OneNote.com or OneDrive.com, they can usually be opened again on the new PC. If they are not visible there, they may still be stored locally on the old computer or under a different Microsoft account.
