Did you try an Online Repair, which was Estrella's first suggestion? See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/lifecycle/repair-an-office-application.

Before you begin, note that an Online Repair usually requires a reinstall (it is the final step in the process), and therefore you should make sure that you can access your Office account at https://account.microsoft.com/services and that your Office product (subscription or one-time payment license) is associated with it.

    Hi,

Try running an Online Repair, which can fix most Office issues:

In the search bar, type Control Panel, then go to Programs and Features. Right click Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office, select Change, and then choose Online Repair.

If the issue persists, could you please check and confirm the following details?

    • Besides Word, can you open other Office apps, such as Excel or PowerPoint?
    • Are you using a Microsoft 365 subscription, or do you have a one time purchase version, such as Microsoft Office 2024?
    • Also, please go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services
    • Can you confirm whether your license or subscription appears there and is listed as Active?
