Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am unable to sign in to Microsoft Project because the login verification code is not working. As a result, I cannot access the application.

Issue Details:

  • Product: Microsoft Project
  • Problem: Login verification code is not working.
  • Error: Unable to complete sign-in.
  • Impact: I am unable to access Microsoft Project and continue my work.

I have already tried:

  • Requesting a new verification code.
  • Restarting my device.
  • Checking my internet connection.
  • Trying the sign-in process again.

Unfortunately, the issue still persists.

Kindly investigate this issue and provide a solution as soon as possible. If any additional information is required, please let me know.

Thank you for your prompt assistance.

    Hi Deepak Mewada

If the issue is related to the account's verification method and the verification code cannot be successfully used during sign-in, the organization's Microsoft 365 administrator can review or reset the account's authentication methods. (Because your account is work account, it is managed by your organization's IT department. Microsoft doesn't have direct access to reset authentication settings for organization-managed accounts).

If you are a normal user, please contact your organization's IT administrator and request a reset of your MFA settings by following this article: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID | Microsoft Learn

If you are an administrator and there is another Global Administrator in your organization, you may ask that administrator to help review or reset your MFA registration.

But if you are the only administrator and cannot access Admin center/completely locked out from the tenant, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for further assistance.

I hope you understand that we're not Microsoft support, this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators have no backend access and cannot directly intervene in Microsoft products. We provide only technical guidance and best-practice recommendations based on reported issues

I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions or concerns, or if I have misunderstood any part of your situation, please feel free to leave a comment below.

I look forward to your response.
