Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Amina,
Good day, and thank you for taking the time to explain the situation in detail.
From what you've described, Microsoft informed you that your previous Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partner is no longer authorized to transact in your country. When you then tried to purchase a subscription directly from Microsoft, you received a validation message indicating that the tenant is under review. Until that review is completed, the ability to purchase new products or services may be restricted. Although the organization name itself appears to be correct, the review may relate to other business verification details associated with the account.
Just to gently clarify, this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors here, including myself, are fellow community members, and we don't have visibility into Microsoft's internal billing, verification, or tenant review processes. While I am not able to directly assist in this case, I'll do my best to help point you toward the most appropriate next steps based on the information you've shared.
Given the circumstances, I believe further review by Microsoft Support would be helpful, as they have access to the tools and systems needed to investigate account verification and tenant-related concerns. You may wish to try the following options to help connect with Microsoft Support:
1/ Contact your partner
As an initial step, you may wish to reach out to your CSP partner and inquire whether they can assist with submitting or facilitating a support request for the organization validation and tenant review issue you are experiencing. Since the available support options appear to be routing you back to the partner, they may be able to help engage the appropriate support channel or provide further guidance on how to proceed.
2/ Contact Microsoft Support by phone
If the partner is unable to assist, you may try contacting Microsoft's support hotline here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support (Work account tab) and explain that:
- You received a notification that your CSP partner is no longer authorized to transact.
- You are attempting to purchase services directly from Microsoft.
- Your tenant has been placed under review due to an organization name validation issue.
- The online support flow redirects you back to the former partner who was not able to assist and does not allow you to reach the appropriate support team.
Ask whether they can create a billing or account verification support case for further investigation.
3/ Create a new trial tenant directly with Microsoft and submit a support request
If you are unable to create a support request from calling support, another option is to create a new Microsoft 365 trial tenant directly with Microsoft (without using a partner relationship) and use that tenant to contact Microsoft Support.
To create a trial tenant, visit this link: Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365.(please select "Try for free" under a business subscription).
This would allow you to create a trial tenant following the prompts provided.
Important notes:
- You may wish to use different setup details from the affected tenant, as the exact trigger for the review has not yet been identified. Once connected with support, you can then provide the details of the original tenant that requires investigation.
- This new trial tenant will not give you access to any of the data or settings in your original locked tenant. It is solely a temporary means to contact Microsoft support.
- Remember to cancel the trial subscription for the new tenant once your issue with the original account is resolved to avoid any unintended charges. Cancel your Microsoft business subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center | Microsoft Learn.
Once the trial tenant is created, you can access the admin center and submit a support ticket from there. When submitting the request, clearly explain the situation and provide:
- The tenant domain of the affected tenant.
- The email received regarding the partner authorization change.
- The exact error message you are seeing.
- A screenshot of the notification, if available.
This may help the support team understand the circumstances and direct the case to the appropriate team for review.
I hope the information provided helps guide you in the right direction. Although I’m unable to take direct action, I sincerely hope that the steps and recommendations I’ve shared can support you through the process.
