Hello,
I recently took the SC-401 exam and successfully passed on June 30, 2026. I also hold the Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert certification (associated with the MS-102 exam), which was originally scheduled to expire in two months (August 30, 2026).
Please note that I already hold other active prerequisite certifications for this Expert badge, specifically the MS-700 (Teams Administrator) and SC-300 (Identity and Access Administrator).
After passing SC-401, I noticed a change in my Microsoft Learn dashboard that seems to suggest my Administrator Expert certification has been extended automatically. I would like to verify if passing a new qualifying prerequisite like SC-401 triggers an automatic renewal for an existing Expert path that is already active, or if this is just a dashboard UI glitch and I still need to manually complete the free online renewal assessment before the August deadline.
Has anyone experienced this specific scenario? I want to ensure my credentials remain active and would appreciate any official guidance or confirmation on my account status.
Best regards,
Guilherme Melo
