Been trying for hours. I created a local account, but when I try to log in with my microsoft account (with a working password), the computer ask for my Windows Password "one last time". The is no "I forgot my password" button.

I have never used a password to get into my computer before Windows 11 came along, and then I create Microsoft Accounts with Microsoft Account Passwords; I was never told to create a Windows Password.

Will removing my Microsoft Account affect this computer or any of my other two if I choose to run them all locally and separately. I am fine with keeping them completely separted and I don't need any cloud backup.

Hi, I am Van. I'll be glad to assist you today.

When switching accounts from a local account to a Microsoft account and vice versa. In the verification process, the first prompt is to input the Microsoft account password. The second prompt, which asks for the current Windows password, refers to the local account password. If the PC's local account does not have a password or there is no local user account, just click next without entering any password. It should let you through and finish the process.

Otherwise, enter the local account password to proceed.

Please feel free to reach out if you require any further assistance. I'm here to help.
