Why can I no longer use the block above the report fishing ?

I use to be able to block all my junk at once, after reviewing and removing good email. Now I can only report fishing and that just doesn't solve the problem, even when I delete the emails after reporting they come back.

Why the “Block” option is missing:

In the new Outlook, Microsoft has simplified spam handling:

• The “Block sender” option is reduced or hidden
• Focus is shifted toward “Report phishing” / “Report junk”
• Blocking multiple emails at once is no longer as straightforward as before.

Why emails keep coming back:

Reporting phishing does not always block the sender immediately.

It mainly helps Microsoft improve filtering, but:

• Spammers often use different or spoofed email addresses
• So even after deleting, similar emails may reappear

What you can do instead:

Method 1: Block sender manually

1. Open the email
2. Click 3 dots (⋯)
3. Select Block → Block sender

Method 2: Create a rule (Best solution)

1. Go to Settings ⚙️
2. Click Mail → Rules
3. Click Add new rule
4. Set condition: From contains (email or keyword)
5. Action: Delete or Move to Junk
6. Save

Method 3: Use Junk settings

1. Go to Settings ⚙️ → Mail → Junk email
2. Add sender/domain to Blocked list

Conclusion:

The feature hasn’t fully disappeared — it’s just moved/limited in the new interface.

Using rules and blocked senders list is the most effective solution.
