I have addressed this issue back in May and Francisco was very helpful. This is the thread describing the issue and the effort made to find the culprit and solve the issue:

At that time the subject issue disappeared. I do not print very often from Word, but now I realize the gost has returned.
No matter if I run Word 2021 in safe mode or not a simple one side page with "hello" will come out of the printer followed by a blank page. I did also rename the file Normal.dotm. to Normal.old.dotm, but no new file was created by Word after a restart and launching Word. I deleted the renamed file, restarted and this time a new Normal.dotm was created after launching MS Word 2021.
Still the problem persist. No Matter what a blank page will follow.
I need some serious help to get this issue solved once and for all. PS. I have no similar printing problem in other programs on my computer - Excel, Adobe, Notepad and so forth...

Hello Stefan, I will have to go through your reference material tomorrow. However, it truely makes me wonder how a single page, a new document only carrying "Hello" can print out as "Hello" page and then the annoying blank page to follow..

I found nothing to correct and even no separator page in the printer properties. This is a tough one.
As mentioned in my comment yesterday, only 1 page is found even in a new blank document. Preview also says 1 of 1 page.
No matter what, Word sends 2 pages out of the printer. The first "hello" comes out followed by a blank page 2. Even printing a blank page in Word sends 2 pages out of the printer.
This issue is only found, when printing in MS Word.
I am out of more troubleshooting idears.
Can you help me out of this?

Have you tried converting the document to PDF and then printing the PDF? Do you then get the correct number of pages?

I opened Word and wrote "hello again" in a new, blank document. Saved it to my desktop as PDF. The PDF version opened up and I printed it out. Only one page correctly came out.

This is a bit of a mystery. Could you share your sample document with the forum, so that we can take a closer look? Upload the .docx to (say) OneDrive or Dropbox and post a download link in the thread.

When I print from adobe it always shows 2 copies and the collate is checked. I wish I could get rid of that as well...

Thank you for the sample files. I had no problems printing them here, using a (basic) laser printer from HP. Only one page printed, for both file formats.

Only the MS Word docx document is the culprit. I use a HP 7800 InkJet. Remember, only the docx is a problem. No other printing jobs from other programmes have behaved like this.
I suggest you create a simple "Hello Anders" docx and send it to me. I will open it in Word and print it....

Today I wrote a one page letter in Word. I had to print it in two copies. Only TWO sheets of paper came out. I had expected two plus two blank or so.
Well, I went back and printed the letter again. This time only one copy. One sheet came out!
Then, finally I printed "Hello Stefan" again and only one sheet came out. No blank page to follow. It appears, the issue has disappeared. Believe it or not... Best, Anders.

It would be nice to learn exactly what the problem was, of course. Maybe an update for the printer driver fixed it?
I agree, but I doubt it is rekatef to the printer driver. All other applications print okay. But I noticed a little messagebox in Word, when I launched it, indicating "updating Office 365 and Office xxx...) for a split second.
But, as you said, it would be nice to know what caused it.
