Hello folks! Due to a virus in my windows laptop, I had done a factory reset after backing up some files. It has been a couple months since then. After I started afresh, my laptop has gone back to a free version of Windows 365 wherein I get constant ads and can't use half the features. I am pretty sure my windows came preinstalled with Microsoft365. Please help me, how do I recover those features?

    Hi,

The first thing you need to do is identify the Microsoft account you used to sign in to Microsoft Office before you factory reset your laptop, as your Office license is permanently linked to that account.

Sign in to each of your Microsoft accounts here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

    1. Do you see the subscription or Office license listed there?
    2. If you remember, was it a Microsoft 365 Personal/Family subscription or a one-time purchase, such as Office Home 2024?
