Check Key history

I have an Office ESD key. For some unknown reason, this key has been activated. Now, I want to know how I can check its activation history.

It is not possible to check the activation history for an Office license if it has not been activated on your account, is this a new Office license you have purchased and if so, where did you purchase the license from, is that from a 3rd party retailer?

If so, log into this link and enter your product key, what error is indicated when you try to link that license to your Microsoft account.
