Microsoft calender event notes no longer show in pop-up when single clicked or hovered over. Using outlook app, not desktop.

Hello! I use Microsoft for work and input appointment details in the comments section which are pretty useful for my day to day. Suddenly the event preview was different and I am no longer able to view the notes of an event without editing it. The pop up view has the time and date with no additional information. How do I get the notes to show back up when you hover or view an event without editing it. Using outlook app, not desktop.

Hi, 

Thank you for reaching out and for explaining the issue in detail. 

This change is by design. The Outlook calendar received an updated look, and the meeting details card was redesigned to show only the essentials such as the title, date, and time. The notes and comments no longer appear in the small pop-up when you hover or view the event. 

To read your notes again without opening the event for editing, use the My Day pane: 

1. Select My Day at the top right of the Outlook window, near your profile and settings icons. This toggles the side pane on and off. 

 

2. Click any event while My Day is open. The full details, including the notes you typed, appear in that pane without putting the event into edit mode. 

 

Since the reduced pop-up is affecting how you work, I recommend submitting feedback directly to Microsoft via the Feedback Portal to help prioritize this feature in future updates. 

Sharing your experience through this channel is the most impactful way to advocate for a change that would benefit you and other users.
