I have reinstalled Word on my new MacBook Neo . I go to use it and it says I must activate. Takes me to purchase page. I don't need to purchase, I already have an active account.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with this situation. First, please confirm that your subscription is active by signing in here:

    account.microsoft.com/services

After that, open one of the Microsoft 365 apps on your iMac, such as Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. From the top menu bar, select the app name, then choose About and confirm which Microsoft account is currently signed in.

Then select More Information and choose Update License. This should refresh the subscription information in the app.
