Outlook until recently allowed full shared calendar collaboration for families and SOHO users. Now, even with “Can edit” permission, these users can no longer:
These features still exist for enterprise shared calendars. They have been removed only for personal/SOHO shared calendars.
This is a serious regression. Families, couples, and small offices rely on shared calendars just as much as enterprise teams do.
Microsoft: please restore these capabilities. Shared calendars should work consistently across all user types.

Scheduling and managing events using Outlook.com calendar
If it's not documented, then that adds to the problem. It means Microsoft allowed destrution of crucial functionality for SOHO users of Outlook (removing the option to create or modify events on a shared calendar, even with "can edit permission"), AND failed to document such a CRUCIAL injry to SOHO users' team functionality. Please fix. ASAP.

As I understand it (I never had the bug so I can't test personally) it was a glitch that affected some users. Not a change to the way things are supposed to work.

I can not find any Microsoft docs that indicate there has been a change in Personal Account Calendar sharing.

Are you sure that you have not just run into this recent bug caused by changes to how Microsoft handles Calendar sharing? Some users report that the Shared Calendars disappears, others can still see the Calendar but have restricted access.
