Hi Korbin Grimes,
I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when multiple applications stop responding to mouse clicks and require frequent restarts.
First, please let me know:
- Your motherboard model
- Whether the issue occurs with all mice or only one
- Whether affected applications are games only, or also regular applications such as File Explorer, Notepad, and web browsers
In the meantime, please try the following:
1, Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run the following commands one at a time:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
Restart the PC after both commands complete.
2, Check whether you are running the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard. Download them directly from the motherboard manufacturer's support page rather than relying only on Windows Update.
3, Perform a clean boot to determine whether a third-party application is interfering with Windows input handling: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
