My Microsoft account is local, I no longer pay for Office 365. When I try to sign in for Store access the input box asking to sign in again does not allow anything, first briefly see a white box followed by totally black box with no option for input. It is not a password issue, forgotten user name or faulty keyboard. Windows 11 v25H2 (OS build 26 200.8655). Without access to the store I cannot get a new wireless printer to work properly.

    Hi, good day!

To better understand what's causing it, could you please let me know

    • Does the same black sign-in window appear if you try to sign in to another Microsoft app, such as Settings > Accounts > Email & accounts, the Xbox app, or OneDrive, or is it only happening in the Microsoft Store?
    • Does this issue occur in your normal Windows account only, or have you tried creating a new local Windows user account to see if the Store sign-in works there?

In the meantime, you can try doing a Repair and Reset of the Microsoft Store app

Press Start then search Microsoft Store

Right click it then select App settings

Click Terminate > Repair > Reset

    Restart your computer

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.
