Technically, the only way I play is on the Minecraft app itself on my friends' computer, but on mine I just use eaglercraft. So far, I don't really see much differences between the two, but that could just because I don't know how to play properly yet.

I usually use Java edition, and I don't use Eaglercraft anymore because I like the actual app better!

Thanks for clarifying! Since you’re now playing Minecraft Java Edition, here’s a quick way to get started with crafting tools.

First, collect some wood from a tree, open your inventory and turn the logs into wooden planks. Use four wooden planks to make a crafting table, then place it on the ground and right-click it to open the 3×3 crafting grid.

You can start with these basic recipes:

Sticks: Place two wooden planks vertically.

Wooden pickaxe: Three wooden planks across the top row, with two sticks vertically in the middle.

Wooden sword: Two wooden planks vertically with one stick underneath.

Wooden axe: Three wooden planks in an axe-shaped pattern with two sticks forming the handle.

Once you mine some cobblestone, you can use the same patterns but replace the wooden planks with cobblestone to make stronger stone tools. You can also open the recipe book in your inventory or crafting table to view recipes you have unlocked.
