Can't verify email "The request is blocked."
See attached images. I am trying to finish identity validation for artifact signing, but when I click verify email it says the request is blocked.

2026-07-17T19:01:46.76+00:00 Hello Ean Krenzin-Blank,
Thank you for sharing the screenshot.
The email verification request is being blocked during the Trusted Signing identity validation process. Please try the following:
- Open the verification link in an Incognito/InPrivate browser window.
- Sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the Trusted Signing registration.
- Try using a different network (for example, a mobile hotspot) and disable any VPN or proxy connection.
If the issue still occurs, please share:
- The timestamp when the error occurred
- The reference ID shown on the error page
- Confirmation that the same Microsoft account is being used
Regards,
Moosa khan -

Sign out of other sessions, open a private browser window, sign in with that account, then reopen the link.
Confirm the link is less than seven days old and the request is In Progress or Action Required. Artifact Signing cannot resend an expired verification link. If the request has changed to Failed, create a new identity-validation request using a primary address that is not a distribution list and can receive external messages with links.
If a link with the matching account still shows “The request is blocked,” service-side review is required; repeated attempts or parallel requests will not help. Capture the identity-validation ID, tenant and subscription IDs, UTC time, screenshot, and any reference ID, then add them to an Azure support request for Artifact Signing identity validation.

2026-07-24T11:25:36.7733333+00:00 Running into exactly the same problem. Did an Azure Foundry Quota increase request but vetting service is blocking the process. Very frustrating.

2026-07-27T15:40:05.7566667+00:00 I used a shared mailbox for registration, with my personal as the secondary. Am I going to have to start the process over?

2026-08-06T16:13:15.2966667+00:00 Artifact Signing email verification link says “The request is blocked”
I am completing public organization identity validation for Azure Artifact Signing/Trusted Signing.
My identity-validation status is still “In Progress,” and I received the email asking me to verify my primary email address. However, clicking the verification button displays:
“The request is blocked.”
I have already tried:
- Edge InPrivate mode
- A different browser
- Signing out of other Microsoft accounts
- Opening the link from the exact Google Workspace mailbox that received it
- A different network/device
The primary email is a Google Workspace business email address and is not registered as a Microsoft account.
Error reference string:
20260806T155528Z-16b9d687f96s85sthC1CYS1w380000000g5g000000003tz3
UTC error time:
August 6, 2026 at 15:55:28 UTC
The request remains “In Progress.” Please escalate this to the Artifact Signing identity-validation team or advise how I can complete the email attestation without losing the current validation request.
This process has been very frustrating. May look for another service.

2026-08-13T15:38:41.42+00:00 I just had the same problem and I was able to solve it.
My problem was the official email I used for the verification was not the same email that was associated with my microsoft account (I was using a gmail account).
The solution was going to my account settings and adding the official email (same one used for the verification) as an additional email. My primary email is the same (gmail) but now I have a second email added which is the official email used for the verification.
Immediately I received an email saying verification status updated to completed.
I hope this helps. I agree this whole process was extremely frustrating. Terrible service to be honest.

2026-08-17T16:15:15.3466667+00:00 Yes, I tried using the same email. I gave up and am trying the process through SSL.com. So far it has been a much easier and informative experience. Even if I were to get the Azure process to work, I feel this initial lack of transparency and service would be indicative of the rest of the business relationship.
