A Microsoft offering that enables tracking of cloud usage and expenditures for Azure and other cloud providers.
Hi @Raja Chattopadhyay Based on what you shared, you’re receiving monthly billing emails (for example: “Your statement is ready for review… Amount: $12.00 USD”), and you mentioned you can’t log in to stop the billing and aren’t using Azure.
What to do next:
- Try to confirm where the charge is coming from
- In the Azure portal, go to Cost Management + Billing → Cost analysis to see what service(s) are generating the charge and whether usage stops after cancellation.
- Even if you deleted resources, some charges can still come from things like recurring charges or billing cycle timing.
- If you canceled the subscription but charges continue
- Azure can issue final charges after cancellation; Azure closes the billing cycle within up to 72 hours (around 3 calendar days) and then you may receive a final invoice for the usage in that period.
- Also, double-check for recurring charges, such as:
- Azure Support plan: if you have an active support plan, you can be billed for the rest of the month. The guidance is to cancel/turn off renewal as the Billing Owner:
- Go to Cost Management + Billing
- Select a scope under Billing scope
- Under Products + Services, go to Recurring charges
- Use … (ellipsis) → Turn off auto-renewal
- If you can’t log in / can’t access the portal to cancel
On the Microsoft Q&A Community forum we typically do not have access to your billing information or the ability to process refunds, as there is a dedicated support team for billing inquiries and issues. We kindly request you to create a support request with the billing team for further assistance. They will contact you via email or call to resolve it.
