Is there a way to copy all of one's contacts at once from an older PST file to a new one on a new computer?
I'm moving from an old Windows 10 PC to a new Windows 11 one on which I've installed Outlook 2024 (click to run). The old PC had Outlook 2019 (also click to run). I use only POP 3 email accounts on each, so I copied the old PST to the new machine and opened it in the new Outlook, along side the new PST. There's no problem copying over the contents of Inbox, Sent Items, and my "Filed Mail" from the old to the new PST within Outlook 2024, but I don't see any way to select more than one contact at a time. Clearly that would take a long time!
There must be another way! Please advise.

Will that do OK?
Unless your contacts folder is marked "This computer only", all of ytour contacts are contained in the PST file(s) you have on the old computer. The page I reference shows how to copy and REUSE the existing .PST file, no importing or exporting required. The .PST Export/Import process leaves out metadata that reusing an existing file preserves.
They always used to caution us that tricks like substituting the PST file or exporting and importing inside Outlook could corrupt your profile. Has that all changed with the newer versions?

Hi JcW32,
Based on your sharing, to import contacts from the old PST file, I strongly suggest using classic Outlook since the New Outlook has limited PST support with contacts items and importing them is not available within New Outlook at this time.
Therefore, if you see a "New Outlook" toggle, switch it off and use classic Outlook for this migration.

Sorry, Hendrix-C -- I guess I didn't make it sufficiently clear that I am using Classic Outlook from Office 2024 (click to run) in both Windows 10 and Windows 11. I will never willingly use New Outlook, and I don't even see the "New Outlook" button that you show. above Presumably I deliberately started up Outlook that way, but that was too long ago...
Unfortunately for me, most information I can find online does not refer to Classic Outlook, so I'm not finding much help there. Please try again
Outlook New has very limited .PST support, Classic is far better suited for this. Moving/copying and reusing .PST files for POP accounts is a tried and true method.
