Deactivated Billing account

I have one Deactivated Billing account to which our MCA is attached. I need to reactivate it. There are no outstanding invoices. I think it was deactivated due to it being unused for a long time.

Greetings for the day, Thanks for reaching out to Q&A.

As you are sure that there are no pending bills on the subscription you can reactivate it suing below steps.

Sign in to the Azure portal.

Go to Subscriptions and then select the canceled subscription.

Select Reactivate.

It can take up to 24 hours for your subscription to get reactivated after you pay your balance - if any bills exists.

This problem does not involve Subscriptions. It is an MCA Billing account that was disabled due to "suspicious activity." I cannot get a reply from my. Azure Support Request submission. I asked in that request: What was the suspicious activity; and, How can I get the Billing Account re-activity. The request was submitted on July 3, 2026. Still have not received a response.

I understand that your Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) Billing Account has been deactivated due to a reported "suspicious activity" condition and that this is impacting the billing account itself rather than an Azure subscription.

Based on the information provided, this does not appear to be related to an unpaid balance or a disabled subscription. Since the billing account has been restricted at the MCA level, the issue requires review by the Microsoft Billing/Commerce team. Reactivating Azure subscriptions through the Azure portal will not resolve this particular scenario.

Microsoft documentation indicates that when a billing account is blocked, reactivation requires assistance from Microsoft Support or the responsible account management team. The support team can review the account status, determine the reason for the restriction, and perform any actions required to restore access.

Given that you already submitted a support request on July 3 and have not received an update, could you please share the support request number in private message.
