Battery display stuck at 100%, but is actually at 1%.

Few days ago my Thinkpad shut down. Upon starting laptop, battery showed to be at 1%. And charging doesn't increase the %, only starts the laptop.

Here is a picture of the battery icon when unplugged and not signed in.

On the contarery after signing in battery display is stuck at 100%.

Ive updated everything I can think of and ran battery report. The results are perplexing.

    Open Device Manager (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

    Expand the Batteries section

    For each device in that section:

    Right click and choose Disable

    Wait a second or two, then right click and choose Enable

    Close Device Manager

    Restart (not shut down) your laptop and check if the battery is charging correctly
