wmiprvse.exe is eating up CPU under the username - Network service

Question

On Windows 2012 R2, the wmi provider host is eating up 90 % of the CPU under the username - Network service.

Have already restarted the WMI provider host and rebooted the VM, still it is spiking to 90% for no reason.

Want to know what is the cause and how to suppress it.
