How do I close an attempted online repair that froze

Using Windows11 to run Microsoft office 365. I had problems with excel not properly searching for files. I have done all the recommended checks and run a quick repair which did not help. I tried to run an online repair but the program download froze at about 90% It has been like that for two hours. It will not let me modify 365 to close the download. What can I do ?

I understand the repair has been stuck at about 90% for two hours and Windows will not let you modify Microsoft 365 while it is running.

Here are what you can try to fix this issue:

1. Save any other open work, then press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
2. End the Microsoft 365 repair or installation process if it is listed by select and press End task. If you cannot identify or close it, restart the computer from Start > Power > Restart.
3. After restarting, check whether Excel opens normally, as the repair may have completed before the progress window stopped responding.
4. If Office is still unavailable or the repair remains incomplete, use Microsoft’s Microsoft 365 uninstall troubleshooter to remove Office, restart Windows, and then reinstall Microsoft 365.
5. You can reinstall by signing in with the account linked to the subscription and selecting Install apps.
