I have bought a new pc to replace my aging existing one.
I've been signed up to the basic m365 for a couple of years.
I have tried adding my new pc without success.
I've tried Microsoft help and I've used google.
I seem to be going round in circles and getting nowhere.
Surely this should be a simple operation.
Please advise.

I have followed your instructions and I went to account.microsoft.com/services but I can’t see where I should sign in. Please advise.

You can add another device to your Microsoft 365 or Office subscription by downloading Office on that device and sign in using your account:
After installation, open any Office app and sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the subscription, this should add new devices to your Microsoft 365 and also activates Office on that device
