You're very welcome! I'm glad to hear everything is working properly now.

Just for context on that Code 43 in your screenshot: when you reconnected the cable, the motherboard recognized the hardware again, but Windows tried to use a generic driver ("Generic Bluetooth Adapter") that couldn't properly communicate with the chip. Installing the official MediaTek driver was the exact fix needed to give Windows the right "language" to talk to the card.

Your TUF GAMING B550-PLUS motherboard doesn't have built-in Bluetooth. Since it requires an external adapter, could you tell me which type you are using? Is it a USB dongle, a PCIe card, or an internal M.2 module?

This adapter is likely one of the items named "Périphérique Bluetooth".

Please right-click on them and check the error code displayed under "Device status."

Also, please collect and share the Hardware IDs for these devices.

In the device properties window, select the "Details" tab;

Under "Property", change the selection to "Hardware IDs".

Share the Hardware IDs in the Value field. You can right-click on the ID and select "Copy". Or share a screenshot.

It should be possible to identify exactly which one it is using the Hardware ID. If you can open your PC to look at the card physically, you should find a sticker on the card itself with its identification details.

Thanks for the update.

First, regarding those Hardware IDs starting with BTHENUM: those aren't actually your Bluetooth adapter itself. They are just records of devices you paired via Bluetooth in the past.

However, after a deeper look into the specs of those cards, your screenshot showing the "MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E MT7922" adapter gives the answer: since it's a Wi-Fi 6E chip, your card is the ASUS PCE-AXE5400 (the PCE-AX1800 is only standard Wi-Fi 6).

Here is how these cards work and why Wi-Fi is working while Bluetooth vanished:

Wi-Fi runs through the PCI Express slot on your motherboard.

Bluetooth does NOT use the PCI Express slot. It relies entirely on a small internal USB cable that connects the side of the ASUS card to a USB header on your motherboard.

If that cable is loose, disconnected, or if the motherboard's internal USB port froze, Wi-Fi will keep working perfectly, but Bluetooth will completely disappear from Windows.

Here are the steps to fix this, ordered from easiest to most likely:

1 = MediaTek Bluetooth controllers are known to occasionally freeze on the motherboard's internal USB bus after Windows updates, power fluctuations, or sleep mode.

Turn off your PC completely.

Unplug the power cable from the back of the computer (or turn off the power supply switch).

Press and hold the main power button on the front of your PC case for 30 seconds (this completely drains leftover electricity from the motherboard and resets the USB controllers).

Plug the power cable back in and turn on your PC. Check if Bluetooth comes back.

2 = If Step 1 didn't bring it back, open your PC case and check the card (make sure the computer is completely turned off and UNPLUGGED from the wall outlet for safety before opening the case):

Make sure the small 4-pin/9-pin cable running from the ASUS card to your motherboard's internal USB header is plugged in firmly at both ends.

Try unplugging it and reconnecting it to ensure a solid connection.

3 = Check Device Manager for USB Errors

Open Device Manager, but instead of checking Bluetooth, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers:

Look for any item with a yellow exclamation mark (such as Unknown USB Device).

If you see one, it means the hardware cable is detected, but the chip needs a driver reinstallation or a quick reset.

4 = Once the motherboard recognizes the hardware again, you just need to download and install the MediaTek Bluetooth Driver directly from the official ASUS PCE-AXE5400 support page.

Give Step 1 (the power drain) a try first and let me know if Bluetooth shows up!
