Scheduling and managing events using Outlook.com calendar
Please note that this is a user-to-user community. As moderators, I have limited access to internal development details. My role is to direct users to the appropriate support channels and resources. While I cannot provide backend analysis, I will do my best to assist you within my responsibilities.

Thank you for the update Kirsten Garbini DINEO
Please try the steps below.
1) Test a plain Outlook.com calendar invite without Teams
First, test whether a normal Outlook.com calendar invitation works without adding a Teams meeting.
- Sign in to Outlook.com Calendar.
- Create a new event from the primary Outlook.com calendar.
- Add only one attendee, preferably another Outlook.com account you own.
- Do not turn on Teams meeting or online meeting.
- Select Send.
- Ask the recipient to check:
- Inbox
- Junk Email
- Deleted Items
- Other
- Search results for the event title
This helps confirm whether the problem is with calendar invitation delivery in general or only with Teams meeting invitations.
2) Send Teams meetings from Microsoft Teams Free instead of Outlook
For a personal Outlook.com account, try creating the meeting directly from Microsoft Teams Free.
Outlook Teams add-in does not support creating meetings with a personal account. Scheduling Teams meetings in Outlook is only available for Microsoft 365 Business Exchange accounts, and free Exchange accounts such as Outlook.com, MSN.com, and Hotmail.com are not supported for that Outlook add-in scenario. See Schedule a Microsoft Teams meeting from Outlook | Microsoft Support
To work around this:
- Go to Microsoft Teams Free and sign in with the same Microsoft account.
- Open Calendar.
- Create the meeting from Teams.
- Add the attendees, or use Copy meeting link / Share meeting invite.
- Send the meeting link in a normal Outlook.com email.
3) Check whether the Outlook.com account is hitting a sending or reputation limit
Please check the following:
- Make sure your Microsoft account security information is up to date.
- Add the test recipients to your Outlook.com Contacts.
- Send a few normal emails to those contacts before testing calendar invitations again.
- If prompted, verify the account at https://account.live.com/reputationcheck.
- After verification, try sending one plain calendar invitation again.
4) Contact Outlook.com in-product support for backend delivery review
As moderators I cannot check calendar delivery logs, Teams invitation delivery logs, or account-level delivery restrictions.
Since the invitations appear in Sent Items but do not reach attendees, please contact Outlook.com support.
To contact support:
- Sign in to Outlook.com Mail.
- Select Help on the menu bar.
- Search for calendar invitations not delivered.
- If the self-help options do not resolve the issue, scroll to Still need help? and select Yes.
- Include these details in the support request
