Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy

Hello Shea Briscoe,
I understand that an unfamiliar Outlook.com address is appearing in your account and you want to remove it because it looks suspicious.
Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access or change your account directly.
The correct steps depend on where the address appears:
- If it appears in People/Contacts: Open Outlook.com, select People, search for the address, select it, and choose Delete.
- If it appears only as a suggestion when composing an email: Start a new message, type part of the address in the To field, and select the X beside the suggested address. See Manage suggested recipients in Outlook.
- If it appears as the sender of a suspicious message: Select the message, then choose Report > Report phishing. Do not open its links or attachments. Reporting a message does not automatically block the sender, so you can also add the address under Settings > Mail > Junk email > Blocked senders and domains. See Phishing and suspicious behavior in Outlook.
If none of these matches what you see, please clarify where the address appears, such as People, the To field, an email message, or your Microsoft account sign-in information. For privacy, do not post the full email address publicly.
