Font file appears in font book, is not a duplicate, it is a TTF. and is installed. The font is "ABC Print Lined" I have used it before in documents and find that it will not appear now!

Ideas??

    Hi @Tory Enerson

To help narrow this down, could you let us know which version of Word for Mac and macOS you're using? Is the issue limited to the font "ABC Print Lined", or are other fonts also missing from Word?

In the meantime, please try the following:

    1/Completely quit and reopen Word

    Close all Word windows.

Right-click the Word icon in the Dock and select Quit, then reopen Word and check if the font appears.

2/Restart your Mac and launch Word again.

3/In Font Book, select the font and choose File > Validate Fonts to check for any font errors.

    4/Remove and reinstall the font

    • Open Font Book.
    • Locate ABC Print Lined and remove it completely.
    • Restart your Mac.
    • Download a fresh copy of the font from the original source and reinstall it.
    • Reopen Word and check whether the font appears in the font list.

5/Check if the font appears in another app

    • Try TextEdit, or another Office app. If it appears there but not in Word, the issue is likely Word-specific.

If the issue persists, please provide your Word for Mac version and your macOS version. Please let me know whether the font is missing only in Word or also in other applications such as TextEdit or Pages

This information will help determine whether the issue is related to Word, macOS, or the font itself.
