What is the printer’s exact brand and model?

Does Windows detect the printer and then show “Failed,” or does it not find the printer at all?

Please also confirm which Windows version you are using. Press Windows key + R, type winver and press Enter.

For now, remove the printer from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices, restart both the PC and printer, then place the printer back into pairing mode and try connecting again.

Please share the exact error message you see.

@John Jefferson Doyon My printer is Canon TS3700 Series. My laptop is a Dell that was issued from AmexGBT first of June.

Thanks for the details.

The Canon TS3700 series should not be paired through the normal Bluetooth screen. It connects through Wi-Fi or a USB cable.

Is the printer connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the laptop?

On the laptop, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, then select Add device. Do not use Add Bluetooth device.

Also, what is the printer’s full model number, such as TS3720 or TS3722?

Since this is an AmexGBT-issued laptop, are you able to install the Canon software, or does it ask for an administrator password? Your company’s IT policy may be blocking the printer or driver installation.

Hmm, I will work on it. Not sure I have a usb cable for printer, I will look.

No problem. A USB cable is optional. You can connect the Canon printer through Wi-Fi instead.

Try adding it from Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device.

Make sure the printer and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

If the printer is not detected, the company laptop may require administrator approval or assistance from AmexGBT IT.
