Hello, I am the owner of my Microsoft account. When I try to recover it, I receive the message: "Account recovery has been blocked. We have detected some unusual activity and have blocked the recovery of this account." I believe this is a mistake. Could you please review my account and advise how I can regain access? I can provide additional verification if needed.

    Hi,

Based on your description, your account was temporarily blocked due to unusual activity. I recommend first trying the Microsoft Sign-in Helper and checking whether it provides an option to regain access to your account:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2196140

If that does not help, some users who experienced a similar issue reported that waiting at least 24 hours before attempting to sign in again allowed the temporary block to expire. Once the waiting period has passed, try signing in again and see if access is restored.

If not, after 24 hours, try filling out the account recovery form again. You might be blocked from submitting the form due to repeated recovery attempts within a short period of time. Please note that you can only submit the account recovery form twice per day. Also, before submitting the second recovery form, wait for the response to your first submission to see whether it was successful or denied.
