Joined Microsoft 365 today, with credit card. Cannot open word documents. CANCEL ACCOUNT

Hi,

May I ask if you have already activated your Microsoft 365? If Microsoft 365 cannot be activated, it eventually becomes unlicensed, and all editing features are disabled. To activate Microsoft 365, sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase or subscribe to it.

• Open Word or any Microsoft 365 app, go to File > Account, and check whether you are signed in with the correct account and that the status shows as activated.

If you are signed in with the correct account but activation has not occurred, try signing out, restarting your device, and then signing back in. Check if the features are now available.

If the issue persists, check for multiple copies of Microsoft 365 or Office:

• Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
• Look for Microsoft 365 or Office.
• If you see multiple versions, uninstall them all, including Microsoft 365.
• Restart your device, reinstall Microsoft 365, and activate it by signing in with your account.
