Type 'Winver' in the search bar on the taskbar and click Enter.

Do you get any error codes or messages in the Windows Update Settings?

Have you tried running the Windows Update Troubleshooter at least?

If not, go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot> Other troubleshooters.

Locate Windows Update in the list, and click Run.

Once the troubleshooter is finished running, restart your computer and check for Windows Updates again.

If you are still having issues, you can run the System File Checker Utility scan from the Command Promptadmin Window.

Run these commands one by one and click Enter for each command.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

sfc /scannow

Once done, restart your computer and install the updates.
