The 2 factor authentication email sent by Microsoft comes in Russian.

I have never been to Russia, nor speak Russian. My account settings which I checked shows English.

Please fix this. There are other people who have had this issue in the past that I could find online:

    Hi John Poon,

I understand how concerning it can be to receive Microsoft two-factor authentication emails in Russian when your account is set to English. To help narrow this down, could you please confirm:

    • Are you using a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail, Xbox, etc.) or a work/school account?
    • Are only the two-factor authentication emails in Russian, or are other Microsoft emails also affected?
    • Did you request the verification code?
    • What email address was the message sent from? Please provide only the sender’s domain via private message.

This information will help determine whether the situation is related to your account’s language settings or to security emails generated by Microsoft’s system, so we can provide the appropriate troubleshooting steps.
