Need Product Key for WIndows 11 Pro Retail

I used my pro license on my earlier HP laptop, which is not working now.

I have bought a new laptop and I want to use this pro license on my new HP laptop.

I had a pre-installed Windows on the new HP. I used a general product key to install 11 pro , under the impression I would have a product key . To my surprise I discovered , product key was never mailed or may have been misplaced. 

I need to have the product key to activate pro an new laptop. I cannot deactivate the pro on my previous laptop. Online help has not been of any use. and lost almost 5 hours chasing that.

    Did your license allow for use on more than one device? A new computer would require a new license for pro if you are trying to update it.

    If the Pro version of Windows is now installed on that device, try this process.

    Open the Settings App.

    Go to System - Activation.

    Click the Troubleshoot button, then select 'I changed my hardware'.

    In the resulting list are you able to see the previously activated device to use that process to move the Windows Pro licence to the new device.
