Report Message add-in buttons not working in Outlook for iOS and iPadOS

Hello,

we are experiencing an issue with the Report Message add-in in Microsoft Outlook on iPhones and iPads.

The add-in opens correctly, but tapping any of the following options does nothing:

  • Report as phishing
  • Report as junk
  • Report as not junk
  • Settings

No action is performed and the message is not reported. However, the built-in Outlook Report Junk / Report Spam option works correctly.

This functionality worked before but stopped working a few days ago.

We tested the issue on five different iPhone and iPad devices, and the problem occurred on all of them.

The affected environment is:

  • iOS/iPadOS version: 26.5.2
  • Outlook version: 5.2628.0

We also reproduced the issue while using cellular data instead of our internal Wi-Fi network, so it does not appear to be related to our internal network.

Is this a known issue, or has anything recently changed in the Outlook mobile app or the Report Message add-in? Is there a recommended fix or a new supported method for reporting phishing emails from iOS and iPadOS?

Hi Veselý Jan

Based on your description, the issue appears to affect multiple iOS/iPadOS devices and networks, which suggests it is unlikely to be device-specific or related to your local network configuration.

At this time, there is no publicly documented change or known issue that specifically matches this behavior of the Report Message add-in on Outlook for iOS/iPadOS. Since the built-in Report Junk/Spam feature continues to work, as a temporary workaround, please continue using that option to report suspicious messages.

If the issue persists, it is recommended to open a support ticket with Microsoft 365 Support so that the Outlook mobile and Microsoft Support teams can investigate whether this is a recent service regression or add-in-related issue affecting mobile clients.
