    Hello John Brennan,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

It's unfortunate to hear about your experience with Copilot. However, as I just check with 3 different versions of Copilot, the name of the New York city mayor is correct. Can you please check again?

    I'm waiting for your reply.

This behavior matches known Copilot issues where responses can become repetitive, invalid, or fail to generate a correct answer after recent updates or backend problems.

    Try these steps:

    1. Reset or reinstall the Copilot app on Windows
      • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
      • Find Copilot.
      • If available, open App settings and use Reset.
      • If that does not help, select Uninstall, then reinstall Copilot from the Microsoft Store.
    2. If Copilot was removed or is behaving inconsistently after an update
      • Microsoft has documented issues affecting the Copilot app on some devices.
      • Reinstalling the app is a supported recovery step.
    3. Submit feedback from Windows
      • Press Windows key + F to open Feedback Hub.
      • Report that Copilot is repeatedly returning the same incorrect answer and is not responding correctly to correction.
      • Include the exact prompt and the repeated response pattern.
    4. If the app itself is unstable
      • Microsoft guidance for Copilot issues also includes clearing app state, checking for updates, switching networks, and reinstalling.
    5. Keep in mind
      • Microsoft notes that Copilot-generated content can contain inaccuracies and should be reviewed and verified.
      • If the issue is caused by service capacity or backend errors, retrying later can help.
