Hi, I'm trying to play Call Of Duty MW2 and every time I try to open the game I get a notif that because my laptop is running on Windows 8, I am unable to play the game. My laptop is Windows 11, I have checked for new updates to my laptop and drivers and everything's ok, I have also unchecked the compatibility box in properties for both the game and steam, but nothing is working. Help please?

My laptop is an MSI Modern 14, Windows 11 home 25H2.

    Hello,

Which version of MW2 are you trying to play, the original 2009 release? or the newer reboot?

You mentioned turning off compatibility mode for the game and Steam but I want to double check if you did that directly on the main exe file inside your steamapps folder or if you just did it on the desktop shortcuts. Windows sometimes ignores changes if you only modify the shortcut.

Let me know exactly which files you right clicked on so we can figure out what is forcing that old OS version flag to trigger.
