Hi Eleanor,

For your concern, you can remove hard stops quickly by using Find and Replace feature:

• First, you need to identify whether those hard stops are manual lines or not by going to Home > ¶ Show/Hide.
  • If you see ¶ at the end of each line, use ^p
  • If you see a bent arrow ↵, use ^l
• Press Ctrl + H to open Find and Replace
• In Find what, type ^p or ^l depends on what you identified in first step
• In Replace with, press a single space > you can choose Replace All to replace all the hard stops or use Find next > Replace to search one-by-one
