Update "Sold To" company name

I've gone through the recommended steps to update our company name in the Sold To field. I uploaded all the supporting documents. Company name changed Tax ID stayed the same. I also created a case that was never answered and was closed by MS. Has anyone done this successfully? I need to purchase licenses but unable to due to the company name change.

I recommend opening a new Billing Support request and making it clear that this is a Billing Account (Sold-To/Legal Entity) Name Change, not a billing profile update.

In the new request:

Reference your previous support case number and mention that it was closed without resolving the issue.

Clearly state that:

Your legal company name has changed.

Your Tax ID remains the same.

You have already submitted all the required legal documentation.

You are currently unable to purchase licenses until the Sold-To company name is updated.

If your tenant is under a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) or Microsoft Online Services Agreement (MOSA), Microsoft has a legal entity update process/form that the Billing Support team can use to process the Sold-To name change.
