Welcome johnygrass-8503,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand that after your Windows 10 laptop starts up, you are unable to sign in even after changing your password multiple times.
Before suggesting further steps, could you please clarify:
- Are you signing in with a Microsoft account or a local account?
- Do you receive any specific error message, or does Windows simply reject the password and return to the sign-in screen?
In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Option 1: Verify the keyboard layout on the sign-in screen
- Select the language/keyboard icon in the lower-right corner
- Confirm that Caps Lock is not enabled
Option 2: Try the password reset option from the sign-in screen
- If using a Microsoft account, select I forgot my password and follow the prompts
Option 3: Restart into Safe Mode
- Turn the PC on and interrupt startup by holding the power button when the Windows logo appears
- Repeat this three times to enter Windows Recovery Environment
- Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart
- Press 4 to start Safe Mode and test sign-in
Option 4: Check whether another user account can sign in
- If another account exists on the PC, try signing in with it
Option 5: Use Startup Repair
- In Windows Recovery Environment, go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair
I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
