Hi, I am trying to export several e-mailsd from my new version of Outlook to a folder on my desktop. I would rather not use Classic Outlook if I don't have to so I was wondering if the new version of Outlook hbeen updated to allow for exporting multiple e-mails to a desktop folder?

    Hi Timothy,

    Thank you for reaching out.

You can do this directly in the new Outlook for Windows without switching back to Classic. Instead of exporting to a PST file, the simplest way to get your emails into a folder on your desktop is to save each one as an .eml file.

To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. In the message list, right click the email in the message list and choose Save as > Save as EML from the menu.

    1. When the file explorer window opens, browse to the desktop folder where you want the email to go.
    2. Keep or rename the file name, then select Save. The email will be saved as an .eml file that you can open again anytime.

One thing to keep in mind is that the new Outlook saves emails one at a time, so if you have several to move over, you would repeat these steps for each message. There is no multi select bulk save option for individual files just yet.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow the steps above and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can continue working together to resolve the issue.
