MS Office 365 license was recently renewed and confirmed active but abruptly stopped working on iMac

MS office 365 personal subscription renewed 6/23/26. All apps work on my Mac Book Air, but on my iMac they stopped, and are allowing read-only. The iMac apps are signed in on the correct email for the active account but when I log in with the correct credentials for the license I get a message "No License Found". My iMac is a 2017 Retina 4K iMac running Venture 13.7.8 and is too old to update to a newer operating system.

Microsoft 365 can run on macOS Ventura 13 only by using an older Office version.

Microsoft ended support for Ventura with Office version 16.101, released in September 2025. Newer Microsoft 365 installations and updates require macOS Sonoma 14 or later.

Uninstall your current Ms365, then downgrade to version 16.101 by using this installer.
