Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Renee Flemings,
I'm sorry you're having such a difficult experience, especially when you need access to important work documents.
Based on your description, it sounds like your Microsoft 365 subscription may have entered a suspended or inactive state after the renewal payment was declined when your previous card was reported lost.
Please try the following:
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and review Services & Subscriptions to verify the status of your subscription.
- Confirm that you're using the same Microsoft account that was originally used to purchase Microsoft 365.
- Update your payment method and complete any outstanding payment.
- Once the subscription shows as active, sign out of Office, restart your device, and sign back in.
- If your files are stored in OneDrive, try accessing them through the web while the licensing issue is being resolved.
To help narrow down the cause, could you also let us know:
- Whether you're using Windows or macOS.
- Whether Office was purchased directly from Microsoft or through the Apple App Store.
If you're unable to sign in to your Microsoft account, please share any error message you receive when attempting to sign in.
