Search menu unusable please help

Question

I use windows 10 in dark mode, when i got on this morning the search menu was in white with white text. obviously not exactly usable. the issue has persisted through three restarts and the usage of sfc /scannow

To be more precise about the issue, the background of the search menu does not appear to be respecting the dark mode setting
