Welcome Bradley Cohen,
I understand how frustrating it can be after the computer was restarted, the remote support session was disconnected, and your two Windows 11 computers are still unable to communicate over the network.
Before proceeding, could you please clarify:
- Are both computers connected to the same network (same router or Wi-Fi network)?
- When you try to access the other computer, do you receive an error message, or is the computer simply not visible under Network?
In the meantime, you can try these steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
Option 1: Verify network profile settings on both computers.
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Properties
- Confirm the network is set to Private
Option 2: Check Network Discovery and File Sharing.
- Open Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center
- Select Change advanced sharing settings
- Turn on Network Discovery
- Turn on File and Printer Sharing
Option 3: Confirm both computers are in the same workgroup.
- Open Settings > System > About
- Select Advanced system settings > Computer Name
- Verify the Workgroup name matches on both devices
Option 4: Test connectivity.
- Open Command Prompt on one computer
- Run ping <other computer IP address>
- Check whether replies are received
Option 5: Restart networking services.
- Press Win + R, type
services.msc - Restart Function Discovery Provider Host
- Restart Function Discovery Resource Publication
I hope the steps above help you deal with your issue.
