Dear Microsoft Developer Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with my Microsoft Developer tenant whenever I try to purchase or upgrade to a different Microsoft 365 subscription, such as Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
During the checkout process, I receive the following error message:
"Remove from your cart to complete this purchase. [Product] isn't compatible with a product that your organization already has. (CV: cygD2IUZIDJGn5Kv.1.13)"
This error occurs whenever I attempt to purchase a different Microsoft 365 subscription, preventing me from adding any new paid subscriptions to my developer tenant.
My tenant currently has the following subscription:
Microsoft 365 E5 Developer (without Windows and Audio Conferencing) Trial
I would appreciate your assistance in identifying whether this existing subscription is causing a licensing conflict or if there are any restrictions associated with Microsoft Developer tenants that prevent the purchase of commercial subscriptions such as Microsoft 365 Business Standard.
For your reference:
Tenant Type: Microsoft Developer Tenant
Current Subscription: Microsoft 365 E5 Developer (without Windows and Audio Conferencing) Trial
Subscription I am trying to purchase: Microsoft 365 Business Standard (and other commercial subscriptions)
Error Message:
"Remove from your cart to complete this purchase. [Product] isn't compatible with a product that your organization already has."
Correlation Vector (CV): cygD2IUZIDJGn5Kv.1.13
Could you please advise why this error is occurring and what steps I need to take to purchase additional Microsoft 365 subscriptions on my developer tenant? If this is a licensing or tenant configuration issue, I would appreciate your guidance on how it can be resolved.
Please let me know if you require my Tenant ID, tenant domain (e.g., .onmicrosoft.com), screenshots of the error, or any other information to assist with your investigation.
Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,

Hi @wojinmah
Thank you for sharing your concern.
Just to clarify, could you please confirm whether you are attempting to purchase the subscription while signed in with the administrator account of the Microsoft 365 Developer tenant (Microsoft 365 E5 Developer Trial subscription)?
If so, please note that Microsoft 365 Developer Program subscriptions are intended solely for development and testing purposes. As such, commercial transactions, including the purchase of additional paid subscriptions or services, are not supported within these environments.

This aligns with the documented limitations of the Microsoft 365 Developer Program subscription and may explain the behavior you are seeing.
I hope this helps.
