outlook groups is taking over my pc

Question

somehow i either created or got signed up to an outlook groups site and i can't cancel it because everything that has to do with outlook is written in vietnamese language. please help me get out of the group, leave the group and get my outlook back to the original outlook.

Please reply with these details so the issue can be narrowed down:

• Are you using Outlook.com in a browser, the new Outlook app, or both?
• Do you see Groups in the left navigation pane?
• Do you see Leave group after selecting the group?
• Did you personally change the Outlook language to Vietnamese, or did it change by itself?

Also try these steps:

1) Change Outlook back to English first

• Sign in to Outlook.com.
• Select the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
• Go to General > Language and time.
• Under Language, choose English.
• Select Save.
• Refresh the browser, or sign out and sign back in.

2) Leave the Outlook group

After the language is back to English:

• In Outlook.com, look at the left navigation pane.
• Scroll down to Groups.
• Select the group you want to leave.
• Select Group Settings or the three-dot menu.
• Choose Leave group.
• Confirm the action.

3) If you only want to stop group emails

If you still need access to the group but do not want group conversations delivered to your inbox:

• Open the group in Outlook.com.
• Select Group Settings.
• Change the follow/subscription setting so group conversations are not delivered to your inbox.

This is different from leaving the group completely.

4) If the Leave group option is missing

If you do not see Leave group:

• Check whether you are the group owner. If you are the only owner, you may need to assign another owner before leaving.
• If it is a managed group or distribution list, you may not be able to remove yourself from Outlook.com. In that case, contact the group owner or the person who added you.
• If this is a work or school group, contact that organization’s Microsoft 365 admin.

5) Check your account security if you did not change the language or join the group

If you did not change Outlook to Vietnamese or did not join the group yourself, please check whether someone else accessed the account:

• Go to Microsoft account security.
• Review Recent activity.
• If you see unfamiliar sign-ins, change your password immediately.
• Review your recovery email, phone number, and sign-in methods.

6) If Outlook.com still opens in Vietnamese or keeps returning to the group page

Try these browser checks:

• Open Outlook.com in an InPrivate/Incognito browser window.
• Clear browser cache and cookies for Outlook.com.
• Remove any Outlook-related browser extension you do not recognize.
• Make sure your browser start page was not changed to a group page.
