Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Dear @Guilherme C Buffara,
According to your description, I understand how frustrating it can be to see the "Update your plan" banner appearing in your Microsoft 365 applications.
Based on currently available information, this banner is often displayed as an in-product notification when Microsoft 365 detects that additional plans, features, or subscription options may be available for the signed-in account.
To ensure the banner is not related to an account or activation issue, please verify the following:
- Open any Office application (such as Word or Excel).
- Navigate to File > Account.
- Confirm that Office shows Activated Product and that you are signed in with the account associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription.
- Sign out of all Office accounts and sign back in.
- You may also try removing Microsoft Office credentials from Credential Manager, then sign in again.
- Open Credential Manager in the Control Panel.
- Select Windows Credentials.
- Remove the Microsoft Office credentials.
- Finally, sign out and sign back in with your account in the Office apps.
If your subscription is active and Office is properly licensed, the banner may simply be a promotional upgrade prompt rather than an indication of a problem with your subscription.
To better understand your situation, could you please let me know which Microsoft 365 subscription you are using?
Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to your update.
