Microsoft confirmed my account was hacked but says it cannot be restored. Is there any way to request another review?

Hello,

I'm looking for guidance on whether there is any way to request another review of my Microsoft account recovery case.

My Microsoft/Xbox account was compromised, and the attacker changed the sign-in email address to an email that does not belong to me. My original email now says that the Microsoft account does not exist.

Microsoft investigated my case and confirmed that unauthorized access occurred. However, I received a response stating that because the account's security information had been changed, they could not restore the account.

I have extensive proof that I am the original owner, including:

  • My Xbox gamertag.
  • Purchase receipts for my Microsoft Store/Xbox purchases.
  • Previous passwords.
  • My Xbox console information.
  • My original email address.
  • My support case number: <PII removed>.

I also previously had active sessions on my Xbox console and the Xbox app before those sessions were signed out.

I'm not asking how to fill out the recovery form again. I would like to know:

Is there any official process to request another manual review or escalation after Microsoft has already confirmed the account was compromised but declined to restore it?

Thank you for any guidance.

I know this response is chat gpt I have spent days trying to get my account back i have spent so much money on it. it is unfair that you guys wont transfer the account back to the original email after the hacker transferred the email without any messages for confirmation to my email or phone number. This is also my third time trying to get someone to take this seriously.

    Hi Jacob,

There is NO one here that can help you appeal

a blocked account if it's already been denied.

And the suspension would be for using profanity

    at a forum Moderator.

    Hello Jacob Heineman,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Unfortunately, I have bad news, usually the decision regarding the recovery of your account is final and cannot be changed. I have tried to find but there is no official way to ask for a reevaluation.

This is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Thank you for your understanding.
